Christian Peters

Christian grew up in the Eugene/Springfield area. He received his BMus Ed in 1980 and his MMus Ed/minor in trumpet performance in 1980 from the University of Oregon.  His public school teaching career started in 1981. He spent the next 30 years teaching band, math, humanities, choir and personal finance/career ed at Fern Ridge Middle and Elmira High schools in the Fern Ridge School District. Retiring in 2011, he then worked at Pacific Winds Music until 2017. Over the years, Christian has played with the Eugene Symphony, Mozart Players, ECC Orchestra, Starliters, Blue Skies, Swing Shift Jazz Orchestra, Eugene Symphonic Band and the Oregon Brass Society.  He has also played in various churches and with the Top Brass and Ridgeline Brass quintets.

Christian continues to be too busy playing, and serving on the boards of SSJO and OBS. Camping on the coast with his wife, trying to be a car guy with his Ford Falcon and keeping up with the two daughters, a son and grandson keep him halfway insane
