Donald Inglese

Donald Inglese is a percussionist in the Springfield-Eugene area. He's studied under the direction of Tim Vian, Brian Schott, Alan Keown, Ken Mastrogiovanni, Don Elkington and James Douglas. In his senior year of high school, he was presented with the prestigious "John Phillip Souza Award" by his Thurston High School Band Director, Tim Vian. He attended Lane Community College studying percussion performance including Jazz Band, Symphonic Band and Jazz Combos. He's performed with several groups including the Eugene-Springfield Youth Symphony, Swing Shift Jazz Orchestra, Oregon Brass Society, Eugene Symphony, Eugene Symphonic Band and at the Jazz Station. He's been the percussion instructor for Thurston High School for the last four years, teaching drumline and percussion ensemble as well as giving individual lessons. He's performed in the pit orchestra for various musicals in the area including Avenue Q and Cinderella. Currently he is playing his fourth show with Shedd Institute after previously playing for Lynnea Barry's "I'll Fly Away", the Jazz King's Christmas performance of "I Wonder as I Wander and for the OFAM 2023 performance of "I'll Be Seeing You".
